"Why blogging helps me overcome my disability" would probably struggle to attract a large readership or generate much in the way of advertising revenue...
I was told this by a rival blogging company. I thought I was "free" to suggest topics that I wanted to write about. I naively contacted this company because I wanted to generate as much AdSense revenue as possible. But I was wrong. my bad but don't worry. I gave them a piece of my mind.
I told them that even if people with disabilities are considered a niche based market we do have buying power. That I was interested in products that their site had to offer, but that focusing on people with disabilities would generate a new type of readership and revenue. That I did not have the statistics at the moment to prove my case. But to please feel free to have their experts contact me on why not . That I was perhaps jumping to conclusions but that it was their loss.
Why are we ignored by the mainstream media. They have such a perverse notion of beauty. It will take a long time for it to change. At least little old me won't keep quiet. I would not write for that other company for more money even if they begged me.
