That man is mine!

What ever happened to getting married for just for love and without publicity?Today is Mexican Pop singer Paulina Rubio's Wedding. I cant help but remember her song, "Ese hombre es mio" " That man is mine in English.

I don't doubt that she loves her boyfriend but her wedding looks more like a movie premiere than a wedding. Trucks of flowers tons of food. I guess celebrities get married so lavishly because they can but what ever happen to " All you need is love"? Are they going to donate any of the leftover food to charity?

I dunno I just think that the entertainment business concept of getting married is over the top. They get married too lavishly its almost sinful. And they get married and divorced so many times it isn't even funny. Also the press and the paparazzi have a field day with these kind of weddings. Its good that celebrities want to share to some degree their intimate lives with fans, but at what price? They are selling to the best offer a moment that is suppose to be priceless.

I like Paulina as a singer and everything but OMG I just could not believe how some people can waste money. When there are so many poor people out there.

I will let you guys know ( for those of you might have a mild interest) just how lavish the wedding got. It was on Spanish speaking news not just gossip shows

Dust punched me out!!!!!!!

I hate my allergies. I tried home remedies. Doctor prescribed medications. Resting Drinking water.

Nothing. I cant get rid of the pain. The pressure. The headache.

My doctor wont treat it unless we try all other options.

Our American Medical system needs to improve.

I can't believe I learned more about how to cure my allergies from a pharmacist in Tijuanathan my own Doctor!

Why? Are we not the most powerful country in the world?

I feel so much better

On Friday I let something off my chest that was seriously bothering me. Before then I felt like I was part of something unethical bad. But now I got help most of all told the truth and feel better about myself.

I cant talk about it here yet I at not at that point yet but I feel so much better now. What I learned from the experience is that when things are too good to be true they are not . Also to never go against my principles or lie to myself. To be good to be kind and never directly or indirectly hurt anyone. Also that in life there are no short cuts no miracle jobs or magical solutions, only hard work and honesty like I was taught by my mother.

Also that I have to learn to fend for myself no one will do it for me.

Do you believe in Premonitions?

The other day I saw the movie Premonition starring Sandra Bullock. I have never had premonitions of anything what so ever or so I think. After watching the movie., I do think however that my mother had premonitions of my grandmother’s death. We were expecting it she had been very ill and frail for two years. It was a very painful process for me but especially my mother.

A week before my grandmother died my mother woke up franticly one day and looked for dark clothing for her and for me because as she said in her own words, “ We were going to need it soon.”

She set five days aside in her calendar for my grandmother beforehand for no apparent reason. Those five days coincided with the date of her death, funeral and later burial.

I was very shocked and surprised by the coincidences in the movie with our life. . My mother’s premonitions and dreams are not as exact and theatrical as presented in the move but valid.

I guess the lesson we can learn from a movie like Premonition is that we have to accept death and suffering as part of the miracle of living. Also that we have to cherish people and tell them we love them when they are alive.

I have no regrets. I showed my grandmother my love and affection in many ways. For now, all I have are memories. Memories that for the most part were good and funny things (because my grandma was funny) and find solace in her passing. I can keep her alive in my memories but I have to learn to live without her.

PS: By the way, Premonition is a great movie hope Sandra Bullock is nominated for many awards.

Shirley Temple: The Greatest Childstar of all Times

I was just reading that biography about her. It had the most wonderful pictures and anecdotes. It reminded me of when I saw her at the front row of the 100th rose parade when I was 10 years old.

I bugged my mom so much to take me. I wanted to see Shirley Temple. But I was so disappointed I knew it wasn't logical to think like this, but I got so mad when I saw the "old" lady on the float, another lady and I yelled, "That isn't Shirley Temple!"

I wonder why childstars never grow up in our mind. For us Latinos , " la tucita" who worked with Pedro Infante and Julian "Juliancito" Bravo (the Mexican equivalent of Shirley Temple for his cute allure and acting skills ) are points of reference. My favorite child actor was Juliancito he played roles that ranged from the version in Spanish of Huckleberry Finn to a movie about a boy that almost died, because he did an unthinkable amount of things to pay for his First Communion because his family was too poor.

"la Tucita" I cant recall her real name right this moment never regained the same popularity she had in her childhood years. Julian made many movies as a teenager and young adult. He also has worked in the Mexican Telenovela industry now in his later years, but never with the same success.

Why do we many times, as a society reduce child stars to "has beens" ?

They are still talented people and they did have to grow up some day.

What does it take to be a blogging 'Celebrity'?

I have never had a featured post on this site, does that mean I am a bad writer? Am I boring?

What is the system? Do we have to answer to all the posts we like? Do we have to post every single day? Or do our posts have to be only when we feel like it or meaningful?

I have noticed that the posts that I work really hard on do not get noticed and the ones that are a bit more impromptu get more comments. Not as many as other posts I've seen but more.

To be a good blogger does one have to be focused or more relaxed? Is there a blogging writing style that I haven't learned yet. I bet there is a knack to it. For now I feel like a blogging looser ha-ha.

I have a second life account but I cant use it yet

I saw a story on the Mexican show punto de partida with Denise mercer about a virtual reality game called second life but my computer is too old to support it. It just seemed so cute.

Have any of you ever cried over the death of a celebrity?

I Have. I cried when Mexican game show host and comedian Paco Staley died 7 yrs ago. I also cried when Mexican comedian Mario Moreno Cantinflas died. I thought I was going to cry when Pope John Paul died two years ago but no. I guess I didn't because we were able to see how he suffered on TV and it was his time to go in peace. as a good actor he know how to live his life in front of the cameras and relate to his audience. Perhaps thats why we feel so attached to celebrities and public figures at times not only because they live their lives and share their talents with us, but because they remind us of times in our lives.

Like the phrase where were you when Kennedy got shot? When John Leonon died?

What is the secret to being a good blogger?

I hardly get any comments. I guess its a question of devotion and getting the knack of it. Any advice?
